Ryan
Exodus/Deuteronomy

Seriously?!?! Like really right now?

Sure, let’s have a Bible class that has a “comprehensive” final over Deuteronomy whose main questions involve bullshit recall answers. I mean, it’s not like the whole idea of this class was to try to analyze, synthesize or understand what was going on… right? Let’s not have questions that talk about the implications of the death of Moses, or the leadership of Joseph. We should definitely ask the deeper, more important questions… like ‘how old was Moses when he died?’ or ‘From which mountain did Moses overlook the promise land?’ or my favorite yet, ‘which towns should those convicted of homicide seek refuge in?’

Anyone with a 6th grade reading comprehension level could have passed my final today… Needless to say, I probably failed the damn thing. Note to self, next time you read the Bible Ryan, read for surface level answers — because that’s what really matters! Reducing the Bible to trivial facts and menial comprehension! That’s what we American Christians are all about!

Bullshit
